It is really 2 things: one is my tuner does not have a safe program for 1300's on stock ecu, and I would like one so I could start and drive safely until I get her tuned.... and the ones he has tuned usually are running Haltech. I presently have NIStune, but I am leaving that for a simpler set-up. second I was concerned about 1000's and E85, I knew the 1300's were designed for this, I also know the 2200 are having and going to have issue with E85. Since I have friends running the 1000's for years without problem and I think I can get the power I am desiring...just chose the 1000's. I am glad to know 1300's run fine on stock ecu....if in future more tunes out there, I could always upgrade, (hoping not, keep upgrading has become an illness) :)
